About the Role
Our client is a leading provider of semiconductor solutions for wireless communication applications, with more than five decades of industry experience.
The business is experiencing strong growth driven by an expanding product portfolio and entry into wider addressable markets. The Technical Author role will support this expansion by improving customer engagement and helping accelerate new customer acquisition.
This position will be central to improving the quality, clarity, and consistency of documentation across the organisation. Outputs will include datasheets, application notes, manuals, compliance documentation, and selected marketing material. The role will introduce governance and professional standards across customer-facing content, ensuring the organisation presents itself as modern, reliable, and customer-focused.
Key Responsibilities
Core Documentation Responsibilities

Document control and management – Own templates, structure, and consistency across datasheets, application notes, manuals, and compliance documents

Editing and proofing – Ensure documentation is accurate, professional, and consistent in tone

Content workflow – Work with engineers and product managers to translate complex technical detail into clear documentation

Version control – Maintain a single source of truth and ensure only current documents are available

Quality assurance – Audit documentation for accuracy, readability, and adherence to style standards
Marketing Contributions

Support creation and editing of technical marketing content including brochures, whitepapers, newsletters, case studies, and blogs

Improve clarity and accessibility of technical messaging while aligning to campaign and brand tone

Assist with launch collateral packaging and proofing across sales and marketing channels

Contribute to Market Requirements Documents and product positioning materials

Maintain a centralised content library for sales and marketing teams

Qualifications and Experience

Proven technical writing or technical authoring experience in a technology, engineering, or B2B environment

Ability to produce clear documentation from complex technical input

Strong editing and proofreading capability across multiple document types

Electronics, RF, communications, or telecommunications knowledge desirable but not essential

Excellent written and spoken English

Proficient in Microsoft Office and PDF editing tools, CMS experience beneficial

Strong organisation, prioritisation, and deadline management skills
