Title: CNC Machinist

Salary: €65,000 – €85,000 DOE
Set and operate advanced CNC machinery to produce high-precision components for regulated, high-spec industries. This role covers the full machining lifecycle, from CAM programming and initial prove-out through to optimisation and repeat production. You will play a key role in driving efficiency, consistency and performance across a modern manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who values precision, ownership and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Set up, prove-out and run components to stringent engineering and quality standards
- Improve cycle times and maximise machine utilisation
- Design and refine fixturing and workholding solutions
- Select appropriate tooling and machining parameters for a range of advanced materials
- Ensure high-quality output with a focus on right-first-time manufacturing
- Support new product introduction from drawing through to production
- Collaborate with engineering and digital teams to improve data capture, scheduling and automation
- Contribute to standardising programming approaches across multiple sites
Requirements
- Strong experience in CAM programming (e.g. Fusion, Hypermill, Mastercam or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to achieve tight tolerances in precision manufacturing environments
- Experience setting and operating advanced CNC machinery
- Solid understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling strategies and workholding principles
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience within high-spec or regulated industries is advantageous
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment
Desirable
- Experience with simultaneous 5-axis machining
- Familiarity with probing, automation or pallet systems
- Understanding of recognised quality standards (e.g. AS9100, ISO9001)
- Interest in advanced manufacturing, automation or data-led production
