CNC Machinist

Title: CNC Machinist

Salary: €65,000 – €85,000 DOE

Set and operate advanced CNC machinery to produce high-precision components for regulated, high-spec industries. This role covers the full machining lifecycle, from CAM programming and initial prove-out through to optimisation and repeat production. You will play a key role in driving efficiency, consistency and performance across a modern manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who values precision, ownership and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, prove-out and run components to stringent engineering and quality standards
  • Improve cycle times and maximise machine utilisation
  • Design and refine fixturing and workholding solutions
  • Select appropriate tooling and machining parameters for a range of advanced materials
  • Ensure high-quality output with a focus on right-first-time manufacturing
  • Support new product introduction from drawing through to production
  • Collaborate with engineering and digital teams to improve data capture, scheduling and automation
  • Contribute to standardising programming approaches across multiple sites

Requirements

  • Strong experience in CAM programming (e.g. Fusion, Hypermill, Mastercam or similar)
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve tight tolerances in precision manufacturing environments
  • Experience setting and operating advanced CNC machinery
  • Solid understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling strategies and workholding principles
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Experience within high-spec or regulated industries is advantageous
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment

Desirable

  • Experience with simultaneous 5-axis machining
  • Familiarity with probing, automation or pallet systems
  • Understanding of recognised quality standards (e.g. AS9100, ISO9001)
  • Interest in advanced manufacturing, automation or data-led production
