About the Opportunity

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist ICT & Security construction company delivering major data centre, ICT, Telecoms and high-specification ELV projects across Europe.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager with a strong ICT/Telecoms or Data Centre background to take responsibility for the successful day-to-day delivery of site operations on major infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will provide strong leadership on site, ensuring works are properly planned, coordinated and delivered safely, to the required quality standards and in line with the agreed programme.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take overall responsibility for site-level delivery and coordination.You will lead the site team, manage day-to-day activities and act as a key interface between the project delivery team, subcontractors and the client's onsite representatives.

The role will involve attending and, where required, leading sitelevel meetings, including daily coordination, lookahead, progress and commissioning meetings.You will also work closely with logistics and project teams to ensure plant, materials, labour and other resources are available in line with project requirements.

You will be responsible for identifying site-level risks and operational challenges, resolving issues where possible and escalating matters promptly where they require wider project intervention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site delivery and overall site coordination.
  • Lead and coordinate site teams, supervisors, operatives and subcontractors.
  • Plan labour requirements and align labour and plant resources with the project programme.
  • Prepare and manage lookahead planning.
  • Monitor work-front readiness and ensure activities can commence as planned.
  • Coordinate materials, plant and logistics requirements.
  • Monitor permit compliance and site working procedures.
  • Carry out and oversee site quality checks.
  • Maintain accurate daily site diaries and site records.
  • Monitor and report site progress against project milestones.
  • Identify, manage and escalate site-level risks and issues.
  • Resolve operational challenges affecting project delivery wherever possible.
  • Support programme updates and progress tracking.
  • Ensure effective implementation of RAMS across site activities.
  • Coordinate and maintain as-built information.
  • Support procurement and materials updates.
  • Attend and contribute to client and site coordination meetings.
  • Attend and, where required, lead daily coordination, DABS, lookahead and commissioning meetings.
  • Support commissioning readiness and handover preparation.
  • Provide clear and timely site-level communication to the wider project team.
  • Escalate issues early where resolution is beyond site-level control.

Experience & Technical Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 3 years' experience in a Site Management or Project Leadership role within ICT/Telecoms or Data Centre construction.
  • Proven experience managing fibre optic, enterprise ICT/Telecoms infrastructure or similar ELV projects.
  • Experience managing subcontractors on live construction sites.
  • Experience working within project budgets and commercial constraints.
  • Previous experience acting as the site-level interface with client delivery teams.
  • Proven ability to control site delivery, including labour planning, lookaheads, quality management and site coordination.
  • Thorough understanding of construction processes and site delivery requirements. S
  • trong knowledge of technical submittals, RAMS and RFIs.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across mainland Europe.
