About the Opportunity

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist technology and infrastructure services organisation operating across major data centre and high-specification ICT projects throughout Europe.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Supervisor / Team Leader with an ICT or Telecoms background to join a project delivery team working on large-scale data centre and infrastructure environments.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

The Role

As Site Supervisor, you will lead from the work front, coordinating operatives and ensuring that planned activities are properly prepared and delivered. You will be responsible for briefing the team each day, confirming that work areas, materials and permits are ready, monitoring progress and ensuring that works are carried out in accordance with RAMS, project requirements and quality standards.

You will act as a key point of contact on site, identifying and escalating safety, quality, access, resource and productivity issues to the Site Manager. You will also support the wider site management team with planning, reporting, quality records, commissioning activities, asbuilt information and day-to-day site coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate operatives across daily work fronts.
• Brief site teams on planned activities and work requirements.
• Confirm materials, access, work areas and permits are ready before work commences.
• Monitor works to ensure compliance with RAMS and site safety requirements.
• Carry out daily quality checks and identify defects or nonconformances.
• Maintain accurate daily site records and diaries.
• Provide clear and accurate progress updates to the Site Manager.
• Capture and maintain as-built information and site mark-ups.
• Support lookahead planning and labour/resource coordination.
• Assist with commissioning activities and associated project updates.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and other site teams where required.
• Identify site blockers and escalate issues promptly.
• Stop and escalate activities where work is unsafe, unplanned or does not meet the required standard.
• Support effective communication between the workforce, site management and project stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

• Accurate and timely progress reporting.
• Prompt escalation of site issues and blockers.
• Maintaining a professional and productive site environment.

Experience & Technical Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor, Site Lead or Team Leader within ICT/Telecoms installations.
• Experience working within a Data Centre, critical infrastructure or construction environment. Strong knowledge of ICT/Telecoms infrastructure and network systems.
• Practical experience with fibre optic installation and testing. Experience with structured cabling, including: Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, OM4 / OM5, OS2, High-core-count fibre, High-density deployments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience briefing and coordinating operatives and subcontractors on live construction sites.
• Working knowledge of RAMS, permit systems and site quality processes.
• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively across mainland Europe.
